not the disney character, but the popular pilipino 70's band. they were known for their love songs and for yolly samson's (lead singer) voice. i gotta say that i am HOOKED (not on phoniks, but eboniks! j/k) and can't stop listening. i find myself often repeating the same tracks on my ipod and car stereo! i guess this record...yes i sed record/vinyl is what i used to listen to all the time when i was a kid. brought back a lot of memories...nostalgic i must say. my parents used to play this record all the time, also playing victor wood, freddie aguilar, and other pinoy/pinay bands. those were them days.

this record is very addicting and kinda hypnotic in ways. if anyone is interested, i can burn an mp3 format of this record...but for a fee. maybe lunch as a trade? hahah. aight, until next time.

that's what i am...an iPOD whore. i've been ripping cd's and vinyls (records) to put into my iPOD and so far i have about 9 gigs of music. i still have room for more!!

i take this thing with me pretty much where ever i go and constantly listening to it. listening at work during breaks, when walking to work, when washing dishes, ironing, working out, even when taking a dump!!! hell yeh, i said it! EVEN WHILE TAKING A DUMP!! hehehhe dumb. i'm even listening at the moment as i type away. but yeh, every chance i get, i'm iPOD'ing.

as you can see, i've been posting a lot lately. guess i'm bored or that i have sumthin to share and wanna ramble on and on and on.

during my workout today...i think i strained my neck...AGAIN. since today was a "back" day...think i went a little overboard. or could it have been another freak muscle tweak???? dam. looks like i need ice and some advil...my new "breakfast of champions." whatever.

saturday and sunday was just a fatboy weekend for me, jr., and almar. almar decided to smoke ribs (a 5 hour cooking process in a bbq smoker) which was very good! i must say...mmmMMMMmmm biiiitttch! can't forget the dessert...pumpkin and apple pie plus drumsticks. no not chicken, the ice cream...ha!

sunday...for lunch, we went to this cheesteak place in campbell called jerseys. my assessment?____?____? thumbs down. not as good as jersey joes. no relations i think...but jersey joes is by far hands down, the best. then went to bj's in cupertino for dinner and i had pizza and a rootbeer while the others had somehthing else. for dessert? of course the pizzooki. dam good.

pretty much that was my weekend in a nutshell. how was yours?

ahhhhh yeeeaaaaahhhh!!! its friday. feelin a little bit better, but didn't get enough sleep last nite. that 3 hour nap before rondalla rehearsal screwed up my sleep pattern. oh well. still worked out today and even ran on the treadmill. i hate cardio...

so the people at the faimont are still striking and they are still calling me a "SCAB." so what do i do? i mock them by yelling "SCAB" right back at them. whatever. get a job mutherf*&#%@*s!!!!!

...that's what the strikers called me when i passed by them to go to work this morning. so what did i do? i gave them the middle finger. boy did they get upset! heheheh. they started calling me bald-headed mofo and such. but i didn't care. so kept on walking and they kept on cussing me out. man, if they were to come at me or even tough me... you'd probably see me on the news. then i get fired. oh well, as long as i get a fist or kick in...i'm happy. hehehehhe. these people are really annoying now. dammit get a new job bitches.

aight ya'lls...looks like i'm just gonna keep this skin for now. kinda boring if you ask me but i'm lazy to learn html coding. so i'll work with this one for now.

people are still striking at the fairmont. its making the club one members not go and workout at my location. some of the club one members are going to the other club one's in the area therfore making my place slow and boring. supposedly the strike ends this week...oh well.

interesting story of how "raise the glass" came about. on my next post, that's if i remember (short term memory is gone) i'll gladly tell the story.

1. julie plug is tight. i love to listen to this cd. its mellow, it rocks, and it makes ya wanna rent a convertible on a sunny day and drive down the coast with the top down on.

2. black star. this came out like in 99. still tight. lyrically fresh and beats make the head nod. lisen to astronomy (8th light). shit is dope. one of the best hip hop (not like nelly or ludacris or lil john and the east side boyz) i mean underground hip hop shizzeee that came out in 99. still to this day, the sounds are still fresh and doesn't sound dated.

3. bob marley. catch a fire (jamaican version) is dope. the album was laid out in its original form, but the producer didn't feel like it would catch in the united states. so, they livened up the album by makin it sound more rock-ish. which catapulted marley and the melody makers into the mainstream and reggae was accepted by the masses. compare the jamaican version to the u.s. version. i really love the jamaican version coz it sounds so raw...the way how reggae should be.

first off...congratulations to gary and beverly for tying the knot this saturday. they both looked wonderful. the wedding was fun except for the part where the priest mixed up the order of the wedding ceremony. we were supposed to play "dahil isang bulaklak" but we didn't. boo.

the reception was fun as well. rondalla had a strong performance especially during the wedding ceremony. "canon in D" sounded great as well did the other songs, but ed and i had a few faults. but we recovered and still played it off well.

after the reception...man can you say hang over? was surprised that i was still standing and i didn't even yakked! go figure. gotta say i had fun this weekend. thanks to all who knows about the new running joke. if you don't know...its about me. ask jenn3. she'll give you the details. ha.

for a week and a half...the hotel workers such as cooks, bell hops, housekeeping, etc. have been on strike. last thursday and friday, the strikers, as i like to call them were soooo loud and annoying. but i do hope they get what they are negotiating for. so they can shut the hell up and go back to work. anyways, today they seemed a little subdued. guess they had to tone down the noise a bit coz of the noize ordinance. whatever.

san diego was fun and i miss the place so much. also saw pasacat's show. for the first time in my life, i get to watch a pasacat show. after watching, i now know where i belong...ON STAGE! i also miss dancing with those guys. just shows how much this pinoy folk dancing and music is in my blood. gotta love it even though i am lazy about dancing sometimes. well, almost all the time. whatever. okay, startin to smell like amag in here =) a little inside joke that herna and i dug up. aight, time to sleep and maybe watch a little porn.
