Tabachoy 170 (fatboy @ 170lbs...make that 175)

going home to San Diego for the weekend. gonna have to drive coz i need to do some work on my car and most of my tools are in SD.. for saturday, PASACAT is having their show "Extravaganza." of course i'm gonna go watch and give them the support but its gonna be weird coz i've never watched a PASACAT show. its coz i'm always dancing. so, to be in the audience as a spectator instead of a cast member, think i'll be very critical...of course constructive =p but it'll be, how you SF people say it..."HELLA" kool to see my peeps again j/k =) haven't those guys in a really long time. it'll be good to see the alums too. gonna catch up and reminisce about the good old days.

saturday is the day...*sigh*

so last saturday, likha had another show. it was a scaled down show, but you can say it was important. now singkil...i've always had a good performance. maybe had a few trips here and there but saturday was a terrible reality. somehow during singkil i tripped, fell on my right side, and slid across the floor. don't know how it happened but it was a slow motion bluuuurrrrrrrrr.

boy was i upset. that never happened to me. EVER. well reality decides to bite me in the butt and push me off my "high singkil horse." i hold with this dance the highest pride therefor me being so upset. with singkil, i'm always trying to improve from the last time (been doing this since 92).

i'd like to thank all those who tried to cheer me up. you guys are the greatest.

after the show, we all went to eat pizza's at amici's. pizza always seems to cheer me up. glad we went. oh yeh and thanks to manok for the jinxed comment about retiring when you f*** up really bad. i wanted to retire singkil while on top. oh well...time to go play in the dirt.

don't the burrito look good? makes you hungry huh? see, this kind of burrito is what i grew up with back in san diego...no beans, no rice, or cheese. just carne asada, guacamole, and pico de gallo. das it. nothing more, nuthin less. when i first moved up to the bay area in 99...i wanted to visit a local burrito shop. i was shocked when i found out that there were beans, rice, cheese, and extra stuff i didn't want. i was like..."this ain't no carne asada burrito?" but anyways, i now have to drive an hour just to get this burrito. in case yer wondering where to find this burrito, its in fairfield. yep, all the way up there. but i think its worth the drive.

Well, its been almost a week since the show. I'm still on a high and startin to settle down coz its back the grind. It took me nearly a week to recover, but looks like it will take me another week. For my burfday, went out to a steak house with the family and irene. The next morning, I woke up the illest stomach ache, sore throat and shit. All day at work, I was just feelin queezy. Got home from work, then a fever came on. Dam what a way to start 31!! yep das right, i am officially 31. i am old. but FUCK YOU if you agree. heheheheh j/k. later on that nite, the chateu camp met up at jersey joes and celebrated my burfday. couldn't drink a beer coz i took some advil. i learned from sunday nite after the show, not to drink alcohol right after taking an advil gel capsule. gotta learn the hard way.

as for the show, singkil for likha has got to be one of my favorite performance. everything just flowed. back in the days with pasacat, i've had dope perfomances as the singkil prince, but this year, maybe there were some expectations. so i kinda had to live up to the hype. i dunno, but singkil felt really great. CASSIE, your worked that shit...looks like i see an upcoming princess for likha.

you can say that i RULED that dance and I still think I DO! as always, the musicians and the tappers were on hit. without them, singkil is nothing. with the dope ass music and tapping, energy just flowed right through me. i didn't even think of where i had to go...i just went. i love this shit!! looks like i can't say enough about the show...just look at my other updates =)

so back to the grind, back to the gym, back to a diet, and back to practice for out next show at pleasonton. tune in next time.

aight, time for a major update in here. first of all, i'm still trying to recover from this past sunday's LAKBAY (Likha's) show. i must say that i was so proud that the show came out to be a success. to be honest, i had doubts. but what i'm really hyped up about is that cassie pulled off singkil! yep, she did it! throughout rehearsals...it was very sketchy, but dam, she did a fucking dope job. raise the glass for cassie.

my dances i thought went well. of course me being always critical of my dances, i know i could have still done better. again, really hyped that singkil was near perfect...its coz i know my shit....HA j/k.

while watching the recorded show at chataeu, drinking a few, and trying to stay upright and not crashing coz of the alchy....it was a fun little after party. memorable? yeh, coz i was so shit faced :)
